Kubota Digger Boom Arm Repair
A Kubota digger boom arm section was received at Blaker Engineering’s West Sussex workshop with a cracked and distorted pin boss, the critical pivot point connecting the boom to the rest of the machine.
The damaged boss had caused misalignment and loss of structural strength, putting additional strain on the digger’s hydraulic system and increasing the risk of failure. Repairing the part in-house offered a cost-effective alternative to full replacement, reducing machine downtime and supporting sustainable equipment maintenance.
Outcome
The boom arm repair restored the component to full operational condition, extending the machine’s working life and preventing unnecessary waste.
This project demonstrates Blaker Engineering’s expertise in plant repairs, including welding, machining, and fabrication.
