Robin heads up business development at Blaker. He is the driving force behind retaining and growing the customer base, and making sure our customers are happy.
The responsibility of health and safety at Blaker means Robin can never rest.
His ongoing training assures the company is fully compliant with current industry regulations and that the first aid kit remains intact!
Prior to joining Blaker, Robin was a Regional Manager for ATS Euromaster (Michelin) for 26 years.
Simon Rawlins
Workshop Manager
The most experienced member of the team with the ability to solve any engineering challenge.
Simon has worked at Blaker for over 12 years and is a qualified forklift operator and mobile crane & slinger signaller.
Simon also holds an HGV Licence (Class One) and has more than just a passing interest in steam engines and vintage vehicles.
In his spare time, Simon built a half-size replica Burrell with a diesel engine, rather than steam power. The engine, named after his mother, Molly, attracts lots of interest from both enthusiasts and the general public at steam shows.
Chris Old
Welder / Machinist / Administrator
One of the youngest members of the team, Chris is regularly teased about his name (friendly office banter).
Thinking on his feet, Chris manages the front desk and keeps order in the main office.
He is an experienced welder, machinist, fabricator and engineer, who worked for Littlehampton Welding before joining Blaker.
Chris is meticulous in his work and is dedicated in providing the best service possible.
