We recently converted the wheel hubs on a traction trailer from plain bearings to Timken roller bearings. 

On inspection, the original bushes were broken and pressed into the wheel hubs. 

We removed the bushes using arc air and then machined the hubs to fit the Timken taper bearings. We then made tapered sleeves to fit the axle and to make it parallel for the tapered roller bearings.
