Welding repairs to Atlas material handler

A large scrap metal recycling company, based near Horsham, West Sussex, had broken the tynes on their 750 litre Atlas material handler, putting the machine out of operation. Minimising machine downtime was business critical to the client.

We agreed to undertake fast welding repairs and fabrication work to the damaged tynes. The Atlas was transported to our workshop where we could quickly access our tools and equipment.

To improve the performance and productivity of the Atlas, we used Hardox wear plates to rebuild the back of each tyne. Hardox wear plates are incredibly tough and impact resistant.

The Atlas was repaired and back in full operation within one week.
